Painting Courses
Painting in Oils and Watercolour with Christiane Kubrick, Katharina Kubrick and Camilla Clutterbuck.
If you've always wanted to have a go at painting but didn't know how or where to begin then a Childwickbury Art Course is the perfect starting point. Choose from a day or a weekend as an introduction without the commitment of weeks of classes and then book more weekends if and when you want.
Courses are held in a Victorian stable block near St Albans, Hertfordshire and are open to all abilities including complete beginners. Our classes are relaxed and friendly and everyone is made to feel welcome and at ease. Three professional artists give tuition in composition and colour mixing enabling you to develop your technique and style in Oils and/or Watercolour.

Costs
£100 for the weekend
£50 for one day
Courses are non-residential and run from 10am to 5pm. You can book for a single day or for the weekend. The course fee includes a large supply of still life materials, an easel and a painting trolley.

If you are a beginner using oil paints we can provide all the equipment you need in our 'starter pack', this includes a canvas to take home and use of our paints and brushes. This comes at an additional cost of £10 over the course fee.

Payment is required at the time of booking which will also guarantee your place. We often have a waiting list for both Oil and Watercolour courses so if payment hasn't been made by two weeks prior to the course your space will be offered to someone else.
No refunds are available from one week before the course dates.
Free parking is available close to the stable block.
